MR. and MRS. BRENT L. GEPHART SR.
Brent and Sarah Gephart are parents of a combined family
������ �������� �������������������� �������� ������������ �������� �������� ���������������� ������������������ ������ ������������
own. From childhoods in Ohio and Wisconsin, the Gepharts
raised their family in Michigan and now split their time between
Colorado, where one son and his wife run a children’s bookstore
(named Second Star to the Right), and Florida. Another son lives
in Brooklyn, who is a professional photographer.
Mrs. Gephart studied piano under Ella Neuhs, a student of
Theodor Leschetizky, who was a student of Carl Czerny who in
turn studied with Ludwig Van Beethoven.
The Gepharts contribute via their charitable foundation to the
����������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������
and to the Central City Opera House in Colorado.

GUILLERMO and MAGGIE RETCHKIMAN
Maggie and Guillermo were born in Mexico City where they
became passionate about opera from a young age. They
have been avid patrons of Florida Grand Opera since moving to
Miami almost 40 years ago.
Guillermo worked in acquisition and management of real estate
properties in Mexico City. After they relocated to Miami, he
continued his career in real estate until his retirement. Maggie
holds a medical degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma
de México. She worked as a general practitioner in Mexico City
prior to their move to Miami. Their son Fred and his girlfriend Sandy
live in Fort Myers; they are lovers of nature, the great outdoors
and life connected to the ocean. They are third generation opera
������������������������
���������� �������������� �������� �������������������� ���������� ���������������� �������������������� �������� ��������������
they were accompanied by Maggie’s mom, Agi Stern of blessed
memory. Agi was the reason that Maggie and Guillermo fell in love
with opera. Their passion for the arts honors Agi’s memory.
Maggie and Guillermo are patrons of the Miami City Ballet,
Cleveland Orchestra, Baptist Foundation, and other philanthropic
organizations, but their hearts and commitment are with the
opera. They are proud to have made lifelong friendships with
fellow supporters of the arts. They travel extensively, they enjoy
all aspects of life, and they are especially grateful to be part of the
Florida Grand Opera community and family.
