Local Health Departments (LHD)
Your local health department may be a resource to help you
reduce your medical cost. Most of these health departments offer
immunizations, dental checks and well-child clinics. To find your
local health department you can go to www.chfs.ky.gov.dph and
click on the Local Health Department button on the page. The
Ombudsman of the Cabinet for Health and Family services can
give you the number of your local Health Department. Their
number is 1-800-372-2973. Or, you may call the Center for
Disease Control to find the health clinic or department nearest
you by calling 1-800-CDC-INFO (1-800-232-4636) and press
option 3.
