Family Resource and Youth Services Centers
(FRYSC)
The primary goal of the local school-based FRYSC is to remove
non-cognitive barriers to learning as a means to enhance the
student’s academic success. These centers are designed to
promote the flow of resources and support to families in ways
that strengthen their functioning and enhance the growth and
development of each child. Each service is determined by the needs
of the population being served, available resources, location and
other characteristics. The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family
Services, Division of Family Resource and Youth Services Centers
provide administrative support, technical assistance and training
at the local FRYSC. To find the FRYSC in your area, call the
Ombudsman for all State Offices, toll-free at 1-800-372-2973.
