The Decker Ross Interiors design teams know the powerful role
that finishing touches play in the execution of a beautifully
designed interior. The selection of accessories, lighting,
window treatments and area rugs in the appropriate style,
color and scale adds a layer of interest and reflects the individual
taste of the homeowner. If a client has a personal collection of
travel mementos such as Asian art, Murano glass, or yachting or
sports memorabilia, the designers try to incorporate those items
into the design aesthetic, mingling their treasured possessions with
new pieces. This is accomplished by arranging the items on tables,
display shelves or even by creating a gallery wall to provide an
individual, personalized focal point.
FINISHING DESIGN
TOUCHES TAKE
CENTER STAGE

Designer Jen Kravchuk selected a large abstract
work of art that perfectly reflects the imagery of the
splashing waves below. Metallic driftwood on a
stand provides a contemporary coastal touch, while
the antique bronze chandelier with beaded rope
detail adds a rustic transitional element to the space.
Embroidered Ikat patterned drapery panels offer a
hint of color and finesse to the window wall without
obscuring the spectacular view of the sparkling
waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Lovely florals and a
recessed wood plank tray ceiling add natural touches
to the design aesthetic of this room.
