At times it’s good to be flexible, spontaneous and adventurous
when accessorizing a room, in order to avoid it looking contrived.
When developing a multi layered design, scale is very important
along with visual and tactile variation, which involves the use of
different textures in materials and surfaces. Organic and simple often
surpasses overthought and too decorated. Pillows, art, centerpieces
and accessories can be changed periodically or seasonally to provide
a refreshing new look in any space.
The goal of the Decker Ross designers is to develop a well-designed

This accessory grouping designed by Marci
Tempesta features a playful silver reindeer
leaping over a pewter organic pod shaped
decorative ball, anchored by a small stack of
literary classics. A pair of tall vases in shades
of cobalt and teal adds height and contrast to
the grays prevalent in the glass tiled wall and
Carrera marble counter hosting the display.
Designer Marci Tempesta added a touch of elegant
sophistication to this dining room by utilizing gold
accents juxtaposed on a navy wall. A large orchid
centerpiece adds a soft, natural element and the unique
glass art wall sconces with golden brass ties repeat the
brass and glass of the table. The brass nailhead trim
detail on the navy chain print upholstered chairs adds
cohesiveness to the design aesthetic.
