STITCHED WITH LOVE
If you are looking to add a little bit
more love to your cards, felt is a great
addition. For this collection we used
a 5” x 7” blank card or a plain piece
of card-stock. Whether you choose
a vertical design or a horizontal
design, you can spice up your holiday
stationary even more by stitching any
of these designs on to a piece of felt
or other non-fraying fabric. For the
dimensions of the felt we used 65⁄8” x
43⁄4”. If you choose to add this addition,
hoop a piece of Tear Away stabilizer
and run your felt by itself. Once the
design is finished, you can remove it
from the stabilizer and attach it to your
card with spray adhesive or glue. Leave
a 1⁄4” border around the edges to create
a finished look. For a super straight cut,
make sure to keep a ruler and a rotary
cutter near by. Once you are finished
you will have your new Christmas card
complete without the bobbin stitching
showing. Keep in mind, while these
designs were digitized to be used on
5” x 7” cards, you can embellish a
variety of projects.
