Stuff the tree with Poly Fil. Next, we will create the stand.

Make sure the diameter of the drill bit is a tiny bit larger than
the diameter of your wooden dowel. Use a ruler and pencil
to mark the center axis of the basswood coaster.
Drill a hole at the center of the coaster then erase the pencil
marks.

Make sure your wooden dowel is the right height for your
tree. Ours ended up being 10” long. Cut your wooden dowel
to the desired length.
Slide one end of the wooden dowel into the hole at the
center of the basswood coaster.
Once turned, your tree should look something like this.
