Englewood Sailing Association, Inc. is a
non-profi t organization that was founded in 2002
by Warren Spear. A spin-off from the Lemon Bay
Rag Haulers founded in 1990, the association
offers youth the sailing programs in cooperation
with the Englewood YMCA.
Classes are held at the Englewood Sailing
Association Sailing Center located at Indian
Mound Park, 210 Winson Ave. in Englewood.
The cost is $195 per person, and registration
is available at the Englewood SKY Family
YMCA or online at englewoodsailing.org.
Class sizes are limited, so sign up early. ESA
instructors are certifi ed through U.S. Sailing
and trained in CPR and fi rst aid.
A four-day snowbird sailing camp is being
planned from November 4 through November
7 this coming fall.

YOUTH SAILING CLASSES
Englewood Sailing Association: 3 Youth Summer Camps (June 15-19,
July 6-10, and July 27-31) for ages 10-17. Registration is $135 ($10 discount
available for either ESA or YMCA members) and begins May 4 at
the Englewood Family YMCA. Sailing camps are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily
at Indian Mound Park in Englewood. For more info, call John Riehl at

ADULT SAILING CLASSES
Englewood Sailing Association: our very popular 4-day Adult (18 and
older) sailing class with a different twist ... this time it will be held over
2 weekends rather than 4 weekdays, June 6-7 and June 27-28, from
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. The fee is $135 and registration begins May 4
at the Englewood Family YMCA. Classes are limited to 12 participants
and are held at Indian Mound Park. For more info, call John Riehl at
