Gardens,
Courtyard
& Statuary
The gardens were originally designed and
landscaped by Jack Holmes of Tampa. They
were redesigned in 2013 by Mary Ellen
Flanagan of Rhode Island. Native plants are
identifi ed with signage of both the common
and botanical names.
The courtyard contains a
bronze statue by Edward
Berge. It is one of three of his
“Wildfl ower” pieces, and is
a replica of one in front of
the town hall in Stockholm,
Sweden. There are four heron
statues in the main garden
that are sculpted by WJ Frey, of
Wilton, Connecticut, and other
small bird sculptures found throughout
the gardens.
