Be a part of the largest film event in the state, the Garden State Film
Festival (GSFF). Now in its 18th year, the GSFF brings New Jersey
the best in national, international and local films, shorts,
documentaries, videos and student films, along with exciting
networking, hands-on workshops, an open talent casting call, live
reading of the screenplay competition winner, panel discussions
and can’t-miss parties held in numerous locations all over Asbury
Park. GSFF was named winner of the 2019 Spinnaker Arts & Culture
Award and the 2017 Global Excellence Awards “Best Independent
Film Festival—East Coast” by TMT News.
BLOCK OUT YOUR GSFF WEEKEND!
Get set for a weekend like no other, offering 240 films on all subjects,
in a variety of lengths, plus parties, celebrities, seminars, networking,
an open talent casting call, free shuttle rides and lots more. It’s a
fast-paced weekend of nonstop fun for all ages. Films are shown in
two-hour screening blocks that include a variety of works like shorts,
feature-length, music videos and trailers. You can buy tickets for
single blocks ($17) or the unlimited all-access weekend pass ($55)
for maximum fun. With the pass you can attend as many films and
events as you wish, plus the Friday Night Opening Gala Party, where
celebrities and industry executives mingle and walk the red carpet
with the general public. (Awards Banquet not included).
Wednesday—Special Screening Night. TBD.
Thursday—Meet the Filmmaker Night to network with filmmakers
and see previews.
Friday—Opening Gala and first movie screening at the historic
Paramount Theater.
Saturday/Sunday—It’s game-on! Films and events run from around
10 am to 10 pm each day.

including screenings of best pix, children’s and veterans’

CALLING CREATIVES!
Submit your films during the “Call for Entries” period, June 1–
December 1 each year. Recommendations are also accepted for the
Annual Rising Star award, for an up-and-coming actor, regardless
of age or union affiliation, as well as scores, soundtracks and theme
songs for the Movie Music Competition and scripts for the Garden
State Screenplay Competition.
