Ask Margaret
by Margaret Word Burnside
I’ve noticed that Congressman David Jolly
seems to always wear cufflinks. Off the cuff, is
this just my imagination?
V.C., Tampa
You are absolutely correct. Congressman David Jolly, who represents
most of Pinellas County in the U.S. House of Representatives, says that
he started wearing cufflinks about 20 years ago, when he was given
some that had belonged to his grandfather. Since then, cufflinks have
become a wardrobe staple for the Indian Shores Republican.
His favorite cufflinks are the ones that have been given to him and
that tell a story, mark a significant event, or simply remind him of
different people in his life.
Congressman Jolly shared some of the cufflinks from his collection,
along with what makes them special to him:
Congressman David Jolly’s cufflinks can be seen peaking from the French cuffs beneath
his jacket sleeves, as he greets visitors in his Washington D.C. office.
