Henri Matisse, Girl by a Window, 1921, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York
The Hazel and William Hough Chief Curator
of the MFA, Jennifer Hardin, collaborated with
Dr. Kenneth Wayne and Hardin’s Curatorial
Assistant Sabrina Hughes to curate the exhibit.
The show includes some of the world’s most
imaginative art, such as Monet’s “The Customs
House at Varengeville” with its serene feeling of
solitude. Most of the works on display have
never before been shown in the Southeastern
United States. They are a joy to view during this
very special opportunity.
