Fire of the Dragon
The 14th Annual Suncoast Hospice Ball, presented by Stahl
and Associates Insurance and co-chaired by Kathy Stahl and

St. Petersburg. The Far East-themed black-tie evening of dining,
bidding, dancing and even appearances by a Chinese dragon,
benefited Empath Health. Empath Health, which has its headquarters
in Clearwater, is a not-for-profit integrated network
of ca re encomp assing hospi ce, palliative hom e h eal t h and

daycare for seniors, services for those infected or affected by HIV
and advance care planning.
Gala co-chair Kathy Stahl thanked her husband Bob, the president of
Stahl and Associates Insurance, which was the presenting sponsor for
this as well as previous years.
Teacher and author Dr. Mary Jean Etten, one of Suncoast Hospice’s founders,
enjoyed being seated with Rafael Sciullo, Empath Health’s president and CEO.
Gala co-chair Theresa Klingel and her husband Rick, whose family’s
TSE Industries was a sponsor, admired the Chinese dragon he helped
propel around the ballroom.
Mike Cohen, vice chair of the Suncoast Hospice Foundation’s board, and his
wife Arlene were happy to see so many people bidding on the Ball’s auction
items.
