legendary journalist Dan Rather. For

Rather has chronicled the events that
have shaped our world. This special

services of The Salvation Army will

Orchestra Guild’s
Golden Baton Award
The Florida Orchestra Guild of St. Petersburg
will hold its 48th Golden Baton Award dinner
on Tuesday, April 7th at The Club at Treasure
Island. Since 1965, the Golden Baton Award has
been presented to individuals who have made
significant contributions in leadership to benefit
The Florida Orchestra and the arts community.
Therefore, this year’s recipient is St. Petersburg
philanthropist and entrepreneur Bill Edwards,
who has been a significant supporter of the
Orchestra, as well as a multitude of Tampa Bay

The Arc Tampa Bay’s
Omelette Party
The forty-eighth annual Omelette
Party to benefit The Arc Tampa Bay
(formerly UPARC) will be held on
Friday, April 17th at the Belleair home
of Barbara and Michael Galinski. This
evening of dinner, art and music will be
followed on Saturday, April 18th with a
flower sale from 9 am to 11 am of the
decorations used during the party the
night before. This year’s committee for
the Party is being co-chaired by County
Commissioner Karen Seel, her husband
Ron and Ann and Joe Douglas. Proceeds
from the Party will help The Arc Tampa
Bay provide day programs, residential
services and employment opportunities
for individuals with intellectual
and developmental disabilities. For

Chef Walt and Jane Wickman are celebrating the fifth anniversary of their Olde Bay
Café and Dunedin Fish Market’s with their annual Seafood Festival in Edgewater Park
at the Dunedin Marina. This year’s popular family event, featuring live music by The
Black Honkeys, fresh local fish, seafood, tastes from area restaurants, beer and more,
