Since the beginning of time, civilizations have
evolved around water. The Greeks and Romans
built large porticos to take advantage of the world
outside their living quarters. The tranquilizing sight
and sound of water is so universally appealing that
today’s pools are being designed as private retreats,
where we can unwind after a stressful day or
entertain friends and family. These outdoor “living
rooms” gain in popularity every day. Particularly
here in Florida, where so many days and nights are
ideal for enjoying the fresh air and other treats of
nature, homeowners are living large in their own
