Rotary Aids Sheriff’s Police Athletic League
A Tribute to John Wilson
After 50 years in television, John Wilson’s family
celebrated his career with him and his friends at a
night of special tributes and entertainment by his
sons, Paul, Mark and Patrick. The evening was fullypacked
with stories, memories and accolades from
John’s friends, former co-workers and family. It was an
evening to remember, as John gracefully transitions into
another phase of his life.
The three Wilson boys, Patrick, Paul and Mark, and their mother
Mary K. hosted a party for John’s many friends.

World-renowned piano player Francesco Attesti
performed at the Historic Fort Harrison Hotel in
downtown Clearwater to “Two Keys to Helping
Our Children,” a fundraiser that was sponsored by the
Clearwater Beach Rotary Club for the benefit of the
Pinellas Sheriff’s Police Athletic League. This evening
of classical music included selections by Schubert,
Chopin and Brahms. The fundraiser will help support
the programs of the Police Athletic League.
Neil Brickfield, the executive director of the Pinellas Sheriff’s
Police Athletic League, thanked pianist Francesco Attesti
for performing at this benefit, while the vice president of
community affairs for the Historic Fort Harrison Lisa Mansell
and Clearwater Beach Rotary President John Funk looked on.
Open Your Heart Fashion Show
With a theme of “Fantasies and Fairy Tales,” this 12th
annual fashion show by Georgette’s Boutique and Shoe
Salon of Tampa drew over 700 women and about 30 men.
The luncheon in Palm Harbor benefited the ARC Tampa Bay
Foundation, which was formerly known as UPARC, an
organization that cares for those with intellectual and developmental
disabilities. The show featured celebrity models,
Dick Crippen and Jack Harris as emcees, and dancers from
Dorene Collier’s Event Show Production.
Judge Gross Retires
Rebecca Tieder and her brother Paul paid tribute to their father
Ray Gross during the retirement party they hosted for him with
their respective spouses, Chip and Hannah.

After over 40 years in the legal profession, The Honorable
Raymond Gross has retired from the Judiciary. Friends,
family and colleagues gathered at the Alumni Center at
the University of South Florida to celebrate the event,
where Judge Gross said he was looking forward to the next
phase of his life.
