CHAMBER CELEBRATES
93rd Annual Meeting
IN PREPARATION FOR THE CITY’S “SPARKLING
Clearwater” Centennial, the Chamber of Commerce is
planning numerous events in order to highlight the
rich history of Pinellas County’s second largest city and
the seat of its County Government. The 93rd Annual
Meeting of the Chamber witnessed the induction of the
2015 Board of Directors Chair Brian Aungst, Jr. and the
introduction of the Chamber’s new President and CEO
Carol Hague.
Holly Gregory, a Bay News 9 anchor, served as emcee,
as the 2015 awards were presented. Restauranteur Frank
Chivas of the Baystar Restaurant Group was recognized
for his tremendous contributions to the city, as he was
named “Mr. Clearwater,” the ultimate recognition given
by the Chamber. Phil Henderson, Jr. was presented with
the Tourism Person of the Year award; and Russ Kimball
of the Sheraton Sand Key, where the dinner was held,
was presented with the Phillies All-Star Community
Frank Chivas of the Baystar Restaurant Group,
who was an easy choice for the title of
“Mr. Clearwater,” and his wife Jayme are
incredible in their support of the city and
its various organizations.
The incoming chair of the Clearwater Chamber,
Brian Aungst, Jr., was congratulated by his wife Cary.
