Tina Marie and Javier Avila have
expanded their Casa Tina restaurant for
the third time in 23 years. The restaurant,
which is known for its fresh, healthy,
authentic Mexican cuisine, now has a
larger bar, additional seating and a gift
shop.
Don Worthington, former board
chair, announced that the Sarasota
Opera began its 56th consecutive season
with a full house for Tosca. It was the first
of the group’s Winter Festival, which will
also include The Marriage of Figaro, The
Golden Cockerel and Don Carlos. Sarasota
Opera will complete its nearly 30-year
project to become the first opera company
in history to perform every note of Verdi’s
music with their production of Aida next
year.

Scotch, presented a special tasting along with
the unveiling of Tùsail, the company’s latest
Private Edition Scotch at The Epicurean Hotel
in Tampa. Glenmorangie has been the number
one selling single malt whiskey in Scotland for
over 50 years.
