We are living in an age like no other
in history, where innovation is both
encouraged and handsomely rewarded.
The entire world of computers and other
high-tech developments have steadily
increased over the past ten years at a
pace that far exceeds previous centuries.
Today, there are more art works, musical
pieces, literary works, inventions and
other creative visions than there have
ever been. That is why I encourage each
of you to look inside yourself and find
that element of all mankind that allows
you to do something creative. It is not
explainable; but I know that within every
soul, there is an undiscovered thought
waiting to break out that will make each
person happier and more confident. So,
don’t hold back; let your imagination
guide you as you seek your own muse
and release the ability you have to write a
poem, bake a cookie, or create the next
iPhone app. You can do it if you try.

CREATIVITY IS AN INTERESTING
word that is most difficult to
define. We normally think of it
with regard to music, art and writing.
However, I believe that creativity is part
of our everyday life. The simplest examples
of this are dreams. These inventions of
our subconscious minds release our most
creative thoughts, while we are in a state
of rest, during which our minds are free
to wander and stray from reality into the
land of fantasy. This can only happen
within the concept of creativity, which
many individuals will deny is one of their
talents. However, the truth is that we all
have some creative spark. It is just that
not all people allow and encourage those
sparks to grow into fully raging fires.
Anyone who has ever gone about his or her
regular activities, striving to make things
right or better, is exercising the creativity
that is naturally within them. Artists,
musicians and writers share the similar
urges to combine their life experiences, so
as to take the ordinary and alter it in some
way to make it more meaningful. In doing
so, they are creating, just as surely as a
sculptor with a chisel and a chunk of stone
is. We all live every day with original
thoughts, yet only a few of us have the
drive to turn them into something out of
the norm. It is relatively easy to release
your creativity by connecting things that

seem unconnected. Many of our greatest
inventions are the result of someone
seeking to accomplish something by
experimentation and then discovering
that it has a different application than
they originally intended.
I am never amazed when I meet someone
who has shown great creativity after a
seemingly mundane life. Once released
from the necessity of making a living,
their creative juices begin to flow and
great things happen, as a result of their
many years of life experiences and observations.
I do, however, stand in awe of
those who, at the very early stages of
their lives, dream of what could be done
if only someone tried.
