The Duke and Duchess of the Red Roses were William
“Skipper” Turner and Ashley Kelly. The Duke resides in
Sulphur with his wife, Laura. He is a graduate of Vinton
High School, is employed by R&H Quality Refractory Services,
Inc. and is a member of BAC Local 8 Southwest. Skipper
has three children, Justin, Jordan and Jesse, and three awesome
grandchildren with another on the way. He has been
a Krewe member for ten years. Duchess Ashley Kelly lives
in Vinton with her husband Garrett and her two children. A
graduate of Iowa High School, Duchess Ashley enjoys being a
stay-at-home mother and being involved with her children’s
school activities. She is the daughter-in-law of Krewe members

Billy and Becky Zaunbrecher. She has been a Krewe
member for four years.
The Duke and Duchess of the Romance were Duke Scott
and Duchess Annette Chapman, who reside in Conroe, TX.
Duke Scott has been employed in the insurance industry for
39 years after graduating with a BS degree in industrial safety
engineering from Central Missouri State University. Duchess
Annette graduated from William Chrisman High School in
Independence, MO and attended Central Missouri State University
in Warrensburg. In March, Duke Scott and Duchess
Annette will celebrate 40 years of marriage. They have been
involved with Krewe du Bon Coeur since 2016 and are the
parents of Krewe member Bret Chapman.

XXIII, Gerald
Bryant,
made his
presence
known in
an elegant
black tux
with a red
vest and
shoes. He
was escorted
by Krewe
President
Sandra Gillard. King Gerald resides in Welsh with his wife
of 42 years, Selena. Dr. Bryant is the Executive Vice President/
Chief Nursing Officer for Lake Charles Memorial
Health System and is active in numerous civic and professional
organizations He has been a member of Krewe du Bon
Coeur since 2004, having previously served on the board of
directors and as a previous Duke.
Representing Christine Daae’ Queen Bon Coeur XXIII,
Susan Lamendola was escorted by Krewe member Bobby
Gillard. Queen Susan is a native of DeQuincy and attended
McNeese State University and Louisiana Institute of Massage
Therapy. She is currently the assistant branch manager for
Iberiabank in Carlyss and is a practicing massage therapist/
esthetician for 20+ years, owning and operating Tranquility
Therapeutic Massage and Skin Care. She attends Cathedral
of the Immaculate Conception in Lake Charles. She has three
children, Hanna Lamendola, Blake Lamendola
of Lake Charles and the late Christopher
LeBleu. Melany and Drew Holmes and their
sons Camden and Jackson of Pearland Texas,
continue to be a special part of Susan’s life. A
founding member of the Krewe, she has been
an active member since the beginning, from
decorating chairman for many years to writing
the script for the ball presentation, among
many other duties. Susan served as a past
Duchess in 2011.
