
The Krewe of Chaos celebrated
their annual Ball on February 1 at
the L’Auberge du Lac Ballroom. The
theme was Mardi Gras and the History
of Louisiana. Ballgoers walked
through the streets of New Orleans
during Mardi Gras season and were
able to watch street
performers as they
waited to enter the ballroom.
The entryway, designed
by Krewe member and chairperson
Dianna Vidrine, was draped with traditional
colors of purple, gold and

Emcee Brandon Martin took to
the stage to begin the Krewe of Chaos
Royal Presentation.
Wearing the colors of the Wood
Duck are the Duke and Duchess
of the Creole, Scotty and Kristin
Brooks. Duke Scotty is an operator
at Citgo and received his associate
degree in plant process technology at
McNeese State University. He enjoys
hunting and fishing. Duchess Kristin
is the principal of R. W. Vincent
Elementary and received her Master’s
degree in art teaching after obtaining
her Bachelor’s degree in chemical
engineering. In her free time, Kristin
loves to put her toes in the sand at the
beach, and they enjoy spending time
at Toledo Bend. Married for 19 years,
have a 19-year-old, son, Peyton who
attends Louisiana State University. GO

Wearing the colors of the Louisiana
Red Bellied Woodpecker are the Duke
and Duchess of the Mambo, Phillip
and Tyffani Granger. The Duchess
is a native of Verona, New York, but
just couldn’t resist the charm of this
Southern boy. She attended Syracuse
University and is an educator at Dolby
Elementary. The Duke graduated
from Vinton High School and is now
an operator at Exxon-Mobil. Married
for 13 years, they have two children,
Logan, 11, and Lily, 7. They also have
