The Krewe of Good Times celebrated
their Mardi Gras Ball on February 8.
Their theme was Louisiana Cultures.
Danny “Pooh” and Joy Welch are
King & Queen of Good Times VIII.
Pooh and Joy live in Moss Bluff and
attend Westlake Church of God. They
have been married for 20 years and
have two sons, Jason and Eric, and four
grandchildren, Camryn, Brayden, Dani
and Barrett. Pooh is a process operator
at Westlake Petrochem Styrene Plant
in Carlyss where he has been employed
since 1991. Joy has been a registered
nurse for the past 35 years and works
at Christus St. Patrick Hospital’s Behavioral
Health Unit.
Eric and Amanda Welch are the
Duke & Duchess of Good Times VIII.
Eric and Amanda are residents of Moss
Bluff. They have been married for five
years and have two beautiful children,
Dani, 4 and Bear, 2. They are currently
hosting an exchange student from
South Korea. Dongmin Kim is 16 and
in 10th grade at Hamilton Christian
School.
Eric and Mary Robinson are the
next Duke & Duchess of Good Times
VIII. They have been happily married
for 18 years and have two children,
Arecia, 15 and Zan, 12. Embracing
their love of country and state, they
have resided in Sulphur for 15 years.
Eric is a machinist for Citgo and Mary
is a bookkeeper for Home Building

Materials.
The 8th Krewe of Good Times Captain
is Allen Israel. A lifelong resident
of Sulphur, he married his high school
sweetheart Courtney and they have
two adorable but wild toddlers, Brooks
Allen and Stella Kate. After graduating
from Sulphur High in 2008, he became
employed with Wastewater Specialties
and is currently holding the position of
operations manager for the Beaumont
location. His Krewe wants him to know
he is the best CLUCKER around!
Debutante Breeanna White, 17,
is the daughter of Chris and Heather
White of Starks. She is a great role
model to her 12-year-old sister, Clarissa.
She is a full-time senior at Starks
