Krewe de Classique, founded in 1987, celebrated their 33rd annual Ball
on the SOUL TRAIN, January 25 at the Lake Charles Civic Center.
To start, three Debutantes and two Beaus were presented: Destiny
Nichole August, Asya Mann, Kiarra Talbert, Marques Javon Mayo, and
Kyllon Lamar Harmon. Aft er a brief history of the Krewe and Mardi Gras,
Captain and Consort Dr. and Mrs. Karlnelius and Jasmine Duhon led the
festivities. Th ey are both lifelong natives of Lake Charles and parishioners of
Sacred and Immaculate Heart Catholic Church. Jasmine attended McNeese
State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
She is a clinical case manager at SWLA Center for Health Services and does
hypertension research for Tulane University. In her spare time, she enjoys
cooking, reading, photography, traveling, and working out. Dr. Duhon
graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and LSU Health
Science Center in New Orleans. He practices family dentistry at Acadian
Dental and SWLA Center for Health Services. An avid Saints fan, he enjoys
traveling and outdoor cooking.
Th e Soul Sisters are Mrs. Kandies Victorian and Mrs. Yolanda Webb.
Sister Kandies has been a member of Krewe de Classique for four years,
where she chairs the tailgating committee. She grew up in Sulphur and later
moved to Lake Charles in 1994. Kandies is an alumna of Sulphur High
School and obtained a degree in process technology from McNeese State
University in 2000. She has been employed as a chief operator at CITGO
Petroleum Corporation for the past 18 years. Cooking and traveling with
her husband is her number one pastime.
Sister Yolanda Webb has been a member of Krewe de Classique for four
years, also serving on the tailgating committee. Born and raised in Sulphur,
Yolanda moved to Salinas, CA at the age of 12. She has a BA in healthcare

administration and sociology, and an MA in business
management. She has been employed as a dealer at Isle of
Capri Casino for 18 years and is now a dual-rate supervisor.
In her spare time, she enjoys writing short stories, poetry,
and hanging out with her sister Kandies.
Our King and Queen, Mr. John Coleman and Ms.
Audrianna Jean both serve on the executive board
as president and recording secretary. Th e engaged
couple will celebrate their nuptials March 21,
2020. Audrianna is a lifelong resident of Lake
Charles and a member of Christian Baptist
Church. She was a 2007 graduate of St. Louis
Catholic High School and attends Sowela Technical College where she will
soon graduate in information systems technology. Audrianna has a son,
Brayden and a daughter, Cambree. She has worked as a cosmetologist for
much of her life and enjoys coloring hair the most. When Audrianna is not
working or tending to her children, she enjoys cooking, craft ing, Zydeco and
traveling. Our King, Mr. John Coleman, is a parishioner at Sacred Heart
Catholic Church. He graduated with honors from Washington Marion High
in 2006 and the University of Louisiana Lafayette in 2011. John currently
teaches at Molo Middle School and coaches football at Washington Marion
High. He also is the founder and CEO of the Coleman Youth Development
Association. In his spare time, he enjoys cheering on the Cowboys and
smoking brisquette.
Th e Duke and Duchess of Love are Mr. and Mrs. Danny and Joanna
Guillory. Mrs. Guillory graduated from Lake Charles High and McNeese
State University with a Bachelors of Education in Science and serviced the
Calcasieu Parish School Board for 25 years. She is a lector at St. Th eodore
Catholic Church, a Bluff Rosary member, and McNeese Alumni. In her
spare time, our Duchess of Love enjoys reading and cooking. Mr. Guillory
graduated from Washington High School and retired from Entergy aft er
39 years of service. When he is not prepping the Krewe’s fl oat for parade
season, our Duke of Love enjoys biking and grilling. Mr. and Mrs. Guillory
have two sons and a daughter, two lovely daughters-in law, a wonderful sonin
law, and six grandchildren.
Th e Prince of Peace is Mr. BrandRick JoS Levy. Th e creative son of Janet
and Frank Levy, he was born in Lake Charles and studied English,
music, theatre, and social and religious studies at Southern
A/M University, Texas Southern University, and McNeese
State University. He is currently earning another degree in
public administration and counseling. BrandRick’s passion
for the arts is one that stands above the rest. Not only is
he classic, debonair, and original, but he has major skills
with a makeup brush. Many are called but few are
chosen, and he is defi nitely amongst the few. His work
speaks volumes and his positivity and professionalism
are a blessing to those who come in contact
with him.
Aft er the presentation, all Krewe members
welcomed their guests and led them in the
famous Soul Train line to begin the party.
