by the Louisiana House of Representatives
since 1994, working as a
Legislative Aide for Randy Roach,
Dan Flavin, Speaker of the House
Check Kleckley and Mark Abraham.
She recently made her move
to the State Senate when Mark
Abraham was elected State Senator.
She is a former member of
the SWLA Women’s Commission,
Kiwanis and Krewe of Athena.
Queen Katherine has been a member
of Krewe du Lac since 1993
and served as Duchess Caroline
XVIII.
King Charles du Lac XXXVII,
James Guidry, was born
and raised in Lafayette. He attended
Lafayette High School and
graduated from The University of
Louisiana in 1987 with a Bachelor
of Science degree in petroleum
engineering. He and his wife
Phyllis have been happily married
for 31 years and have a son,
Stephan Guidry of Houston, and
a daughter, Christina Guidry of
Lake Charles. James has 31 years
of experience working for Energy
Transfer and is currently the Director
of Technical Operations for
the South Division out of Lake
Charles. He is currently serving
on the steering committee of the
State of Louisiana Pipeline Emergency
Responders Initiative and is
a member of the Louisiana Pipeliner’s
Association..
A huge fan of the University of
Louisiana RAGIN CAJUNS, he
enjoys fishing, bird hunting and
traveling with his wife.
James moved to Lake Charles in
2005 and attended his first Krewe
du Lac ball in 2006. He and his
wife have been members for 13
years. James is currently serving
as President of the Parrot Heads
for the third year. He is also a
member of the Buccaneers and
the Lake Charles Chapter of the
Cajun French Music Association.
For the last three years, James has
been the team captain of the Energy
Transfer Dragon Boat team
for Christus St. Patrick Children’s
Miracle Network fundraiser.
James expresses his appreciation
to Krewe du Lac members
for their support and will humbly
serve as King Charles du Lac
XXXVII to the best of his ability.
After the Presentation, this funloving
Krewe danced the night
away to the sounds of the Lafayette
band Three Thirty Seven.
