Marie DeLucca is the granddaughter of Krewe members
Donna and Mickey DeLucca and daughter of Brice
and Celina Sylvester of Port Barre, LA. She was
escorted by her stepfather. Miss Brooklyn Folds
is the daughter of Krewe member Scott Folds of
Baton Rouge and Rhonda Folds of Moss Bluff .
She was escorted by her father. Miss Andie
Jean Johnson is the niece of Krewe members
Angie and Scott Stevens and the daughter
of Misti and Chris Fruge and Michael Johnson.
Andie was escorted by her uncle. Miss
Kaycee Michelle Rodrigue is the daughter of
Krewe members Dana and Patrick Rodrigue
and was escorted by her father.
As the spotlight reappeared, Krewe Captain
Mike Parr entered the Coliseum representing
the sun and the moon. Next, the Royal Court for
2020 was introduced. Representing Highgardens
were Duke Thomas Angers and Duchess Geneva
Breaux. Duke Th omas is a graduate of Louisiana State
University with a Master of Science degree in accounting.
Th e Duke is also a Certifi ed Public Accountant and is employed
by KPMG, LLP in Baton Rouge. Duchess Geneva
is a graduate of McNeese State University and earned four
degrees: Bachelors of Science in art education and nutrition
and food science, and Masters of education technology and
nutrition and wellness. Geneva is employed at Lake Charles
Memorial Hospital.
Briny Deep was represented by Duke Don Kay and
Duchess Amy Kay. Duke Don holds a Master of Science
degree from McNeese State University and is employed at
Baker Hughes as a strategic account manager. Duchess Amy
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education and is a 5th
grade math teacher at Grand Lake Elementary School.
Representing Hunting Grounds were Duke Byron
Prejean and Duchess Danielle Shamsie Prejean.
Th e Duke studied fi nance and aviator aeronautical
designation at McNeese State University.
He is a Chief Warrant Offi cer 3 as an
Attack Aviator in the United States Army
Reserve and a maintenance mechanical
supervisor at McDermott. Duchess Danielle
is a graduate of McNeese State University
with a Master of Art in psychology
and a bachelor’s degree in speech.
Th e Duchess owns Shamsie Behavioral
Solutions.
As the frozen North ice wall opened,
guests were asked to stand as a gesture
of loyalty and respect for King Gabriel
Noblesse XXXV, Joey Angers, Jr. and
Queen Ashley Noblesse XXXV, Cheree Stelly
Angers. Th e King and Queen were attended
by two of their godchildren: Ella Broussard and
Sam Guillory. King Joey is a graduate of McNeese State
University with a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing.
He is employed as a regional sales manager at MRC
Global in Houston. Our King has been involved with our
Krewe since 1994. Queen Cheree is a graduate of McNeese
State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in radiologic
technology. She is employed as a CT technologist at
Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Following the traditional toast by the Royal Court, the
Captain and Court, led by Krewe member Tony Comeaux,
participated in our annual Second Line. Members and guests
were invited to join the procession, raising their umbrellas
in true Mardi Gras tradition. Th e remainder of the evening
was spent dancing the night away to the music of Jet Seven.
