Our cultural institutions include a diverse
collection of both historic and contemporary
museums, ranging from the Museum of Fine
Arts and the Henry B. Plant Museum to The
James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art and
the Imagine Museum. We are fortunate to have
exhibiting and teaching art centers and galleries
of varying sizes throughout the area and an
abundance of public art and murals to enjoy.
Our creative arts community with its incredible
willingness to do whatever it can for the arts in the
Tampa Bay area is prevalent wherever you go. In
addition to our enviable environment and many
amenities, our Tampa Bay area can boast about its
thriving economic and business opportunities and
about our well-run infrastructure and dedicated
leaders. This has proven to be true, even in the
most difficult of times. Of course, since we live
in Florida, we have learned to laugh at ourselves
when things happen here that may seem bizarre,
but are often only the result of our laid-back casual
approach to most things.
