READERS’ THOUGHTS
WE GET LETTERS, CALLERS
This is our granddaughter Bentley
with her best friend of more than a
year, Aubree. They wanted to dress
alike on Twin Day. We think if the
grown-ups got out of the way, children
might make the world a better place.
– Lorrie and Gary Puckett, Clearwater
Beach
I give talks to our local Rotary Club
and Chamber of Commerce meetings,
etc. Your Publisher Postulates provide
me with a plethora of material for my
talks.
– Phil Cohen, Lexington, Miss.
Since the pandemic began, I have been
keeping inspirational articles and
quotes. I have four of your articles in
my binder: “Stay Home, Be Safe” and
“This Too Shall Pass” from the May/
June issue and “Life Is Not Easy” and
“As Time Goes On” from the July/
August issue. Your words are very
comforting and inspiring.

best friend Aubree
I enjoyed your “Rules, Laws and Observations.”
Here is one of mine that a friend sent to me, “Of all
the things I’ve lost, I miss my mind the most.”
– Charles Simmons, Tampa
I loved your article on The Kapok Tree. I have so
many fond memories of it through the years.
– Jackie Walker, Tampa
When our magazine arrives, I read Aaron and
Margaret’s articles and then Dick Crippen’s before
devouring the rest. In the September/October issue, I
smiled reading the Publisher Postulates on marriage.
The magazine makes our lives a little brighter by
helping us to remember there is a world out there
even with COVID-19.

48 TAMPA BAY MAGAZINE | NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2020
The “Marriage” article was the best
ever. I needed that laugh more than
you can imagine.
– Kay Dillinger, co-founder of the Beth
Dillinger Foundation of St. Petersburg
Thank you for your honesty, your
wisdom and for sharing your joy
for living. Your articles are always
enjoyable and refreshing.
– Bonnie Starr, Belleair
What a great memory of The Kapok
Tree. I especially loved seeing a
picture of myself with hair.
– George “The Minstrel” Aldrich,
Clearwater
This issue (S-O 2020) was beautiful
with its stunning cover and photo
contest winners. The Kapok Tree
article in “Ask Margaret” was
especially interesting.
– Shawn Tanney Richards, Clearwater
I missed the “On the Road Again”
section of the magazine. I guess no
one was traveling, but hopefully, it will return, even
though the norm is a staycation for now.
– Jane Greenberg of Dunedin, Florida and Lansdale,
Pennsylvania
Margaret’s article on The Kapok Tree brought back
wonderful memories of dining and shopping in the
gift shops there in Clearwater as well as Peter Pan in
Maryland. We sure had fun there.
– The Honorable Bruce Mencher, Washington, D.C.
I always read The Publisher Postulates because there is
always common sense wisdom. I plan to move to Tampa
Bay, but the virus may hold me up. This “Yanqui”
found the magazine some years ago in the gift shop in
the St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts. I knew I had to
become a subscriber and have never regretted it.
