This is what the first border will look like when the excess
border fabric is trimmed. Be sure to keep a 1⁄2 seam
allowance across the top.

Reference the Anatomy of Design page and your specific
design’s numbered machine steps for border placement
order. The horizontal borders will be first, then followed by
the vertical borders.
Once all the borders are completed your quilt block is
finished! Pop your stabilizer out of the hoop and give your
block a nice trim. As always, we recommend a 1⁄2 seam
allowance around the entire block.
Trim the excess border fabric from each end as indicated in
the picture. This will prevent the machine foot from getting
caught when you complete the final borders.
