One of our recent fringe collections
prior to our Loop Fringe method was our
Geometric Fringe Quilt, a Mix and Match
quilting collection that features fringe
elements throughout all the blocks. In this
collection, the fringe is created with both
round and petal-like shapes. The slicing of
threads will happen on the top of the hoop,
cutting the actual embroidery thread within
the petal shapes. The end results are the
fluffy and velvet-like fringe you see above!
PERFECT PETALS
A closer look into our Geometric Fringe Quilt
shows the petal-like shapes. Each shape,
whether circular or petal-like, has been
specially digitized with a skinny, surrounding
satin stitch.
The skinny satin stitches will act as the anchor
for the threads nto be fringed, helping secure
one edge so they won’t unravel. The areas
to be fringed are easily identifiable with this
special outline, allowing you to stitch your
blocks and fringe them all at the end.
