Fold the fabric over, giving it a finger press to ensure that it is
nice and smooth. Use tape to secure the fabric. Run the next
step, which is the tack down stitch for the folded fabric.

Add your folded fabric borders to the remaining sides. You’ll use
the same 3 steps for each piece of folded fabric - placement
stitch, folding stitch, tack down stitch.
Here is an example of the completed typography block.
Repeat these same steps for the second piece of folded fabric.
Trim the fabric from the ends to prevent your presser foot from
getting caught and pulling the design. Be sure to leave the
excess along the top and bottom edges - this will be your seam
allowance.
Once you have completed the remaining folded fabric steps,
remove the project from the hoop. Using a rotary cutter and
ruler, trim all sides to a ½” seam allowance.
