Stitching Out Your Blocks
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Take a piece of batting and place it over the squaring
stitches, being sure to cover them on all sides.
Run the tacking stitch for the batting to secure it in place. Using a pair of appliqué scissors, trim the excess batting
close to the tacking stitch lines.
Once trimmed, your block will look like this. Now, run the next step in the design, which will be a
placement stitch to indicate where to lay your first standard
appliqué.
To begin, hoop a piece of no show mesh stabilizer to fit your
hoop and load the block you are wanting to stitch. Run the
first step in the design, which will be a squaring stitch for the
batting. For our example, we will be stitching GS22.
