Disney’s Animal
Kingdom has developed
a new multimedia
show called Rivers of
Light for those who
visit during its new
nighttime hours.
The new Soarin’ ride
at Epcot takes guests
to magnificent sites
throughout the world.
At Hollywood Studios, a Star Wars-inspired fireworks
show is beyond belief, as you see new effects and a perfectly
choreographed and synchronized production unlike any
you have ever seen.
Perhaps the most interesting additions are the Animal
Kingdom’s new nighttime attractions, such as the technically
advanced light and water show called Rivers of Light and the
nightly awakening of the Tree of Life on Discovery Island.
Another not-to-be-missed sight is the setting sun that has
been created for live Kilimanjaro Safari rides after dark,
when many of the nocturnal animals are on the prowl.
The new additions are not all in the parks, however. The
former “Downtown Disney” is now called “Disney Springs”
to reflect its new water feature that serves as the centerpiece
for this massive shopping, dining and entertaining utopia.
Its Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba show has added fabulous new
acts to make it even more mesmerizing than ever.
No matter when you visit Disney, you are bound to
find something new and amazing to see and enjoy. We are
fortunate to have it in our own backyard. 9
