Pinellas-Pasco Heart Gallery
The Pinellas-Pasco Heart Gallery celebrated its 10th anniversary at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. Abby Favali was the
chair and Al Ruechel, the senior anchor for Bay News 9, was the emcee for “Fiesta on the Field,” an evening fundraiser of food,
entertainment and auctions. Since its inception, the Heart Gallery, which has helped find permanent, forever families for more than
300 local children, has worked to increase the number of adoptions of children in foster care and support these families through
their adoption journey. Twenty-five professional photographers volunteered their time to create the portraits of the children
who are available for adoption that give the Heart Gallery its name.

heart pendant to the fundraiser, but also gave
necklaces to sisters Alexis and Jessica, who
had been aided by the Heart Gallery.

his wife Jen, the Heart Gallery’s executive
director, for her and only three other staff
members’ accomplishments.
Steve Sika and Ed Halleran are ardent
supporters of the Heart Gallery and the
important role it plays in the lives of
children in foster care.
