WORLD ROWING
AND WWF
PARTNERS FOR
CLEAN WATER
Our planet depends on clean water
FISA, the World Rowing Federation, believes that we all have a responsibility to apply
environmentally-sustainable practices to our use and management of water.
Because rowing is a clean water sport, everyone involved in rowing has a number of
very good reasons to be part of the “clean water movement.”

Help safeguard our clean water
WWF and World Rowing are now in the fifth year of their global clean water partnership.
This engages all rowers, national federations and all rowing clubs to work towards
safeguarding their own freshwater environment – for everyone’s benefit.
One of the greatest challenges of our time is to ensure there is enough clean water to
support human life, nourish vital habitats and supply industry and agriculture. WWF
and World Rowing want to be part of the solution and a joint action project is in motion.
