Once tacked down, use a pair of scissors to trim away the
excess batting from the tacking stitch.
Run the tacking stitch for your base fabric.
Tip: It is a good idea to match your tack down thread to
your base fabric to prevent visible stitch lines later!
When the design is complete, you can remove it from the
hoop. Use a rotary cutter and ruler to trim the block to a 1⁄2”
seam allowance.
Place a piece of base fabric, right side up, over the batting,
leaving enough fabric for a 1⁄2” seam allowance.
TIP: Adding fusible interfacing to your base fabric can
help prevent any pulling from the embroidery!
Continue to run the remaining embroidery details, being
sure to follow the numbered steps for your design.
Your Small Block is now finished!
