Once tacked in place, use a pair of scissors to trim away
the excess batting from the tacking stitch.
Now, take your base fabric for the block and lay it right
side up. Be sure to leave enough fabric extending past the
batting for a 1⁄2” seam allowance on all sides.
Using a coordinating thread, run the third step in the design,
which will tack down the base fabric.
