Faces of Philanthropy
The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) held its fifth annual “Faces of Philanthropy” gala at the Epicurean Hotel in
Tampa. The dinner and awards celebration honored Charles J. Levin with the Emerald Founder’s Award, the University of Tampa
with the Supporter of the Year Award and St. Cate Fine Arts with the Monthly Supporter of the Year Award. The evening included
a collaborative performance by the Tampa City Ballet and the Contemporary Art Music Project, a silent auction and a live auction
conducted by Blake Kennedy. The FMoPA has been showcasing, discussing and advocating excellent photographic art for 20 years
at its headquarters in downtown Tampa.

David Gudelunas, dean and professor of the
University of Tampa’s College of Arts and
Letters, and his partner Ian Muldowney were
the high bidders on some of the live auction
items at the Florida Museum of Photographic
Arts fundraiser.
Dr. Ronald and Renée Vaughn, the University
of Tampa’s president and first lady, were
congratulated by Alexis Muellner, the
museum’s board chair and the Tampa Bay
Business Journal’s editor, as the school received
the museum’s Supporter of the Year award.
Pace’s Celebration of Champions

Pace Center for Girls, Pinellas held its inaugural Celebration of Champions benefit soirée, a patron pre-party, dinner and award
presentations at the Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater. The fundraiser recognized the many accomplishments of the welldeserving
award recipients. Since 1997, Pace Center for Girls, Pinellas, which is headquartered in Pinellas Park, has provided over
2,000 girls and young women opportunities for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy in hopes of
creating a world where all girls and young women will have power in a just and equitable society.
The Honorable Bob Dillinger, a public
defender, and his wife Kay, founder of
Beth’s Closet, accepted the Philanthropy
and Service Award for their Beth
Dillinger Foundation, which helps others
in memory of their daughter.
Mary Marx, Pace’s national president/CEO;
Chantell Miles, Pace Pinellas’ executive director;
and Sally Zeh, a Pinellas board member and former
executive director, were honored to have such a
large attendance.
Sallie Parks, former Pinellas County
commissioner and Pace Pinellas’ founder,
received the Vanguard Award, while
The Honorable Irene Sullivan, lawyer
and circuit court judge, was given the
Advocacy Award.
