TRAARVTEL
BORGATA HOTEL,
CASINO & SPA
Atlantic City, New Jersey
By Margaret Word Burnside and Aaron R. Fodiman
We had not traveled by air for more than two years due to COVID-19,
and initially, we enjoyed staycations at home. However, eventually
the urge to jump on a plane overcame us, and we began to consider
where to fly first. As if by fate, we learned that Sun Country Airlines
was flying charter flights called MGM Direct to Borgata from the St. Pete/Clearwater
International Airport to the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, New
Jersey, home of the properties in the board game Monopoly. Since one of our favorite
resort destinations is the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Mississippi, which we fly
to using Sun Country to the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport, we decided that a
nonstop flight to Atlantic City would be the ideal way to start our air travels again.
