In Maki Rollin’,
the artist takes a simple
subject, sushi, and
translates it into
hyper detail.
Currently, Haghighi lives and
works in Oldsmar, where he spends
most days creating new and exciting
images. Unhappy to find himself
falling into a predictable format, he
is making a horror film, painting
portraits and allowing his past life
experiences and inspirations to fuel a
creative flow of large colorful works
that pay homage to others, but are
entirely from his own imagination.
His work may look familiar, but each
piece has been carefully constructed
to convey his personal relationship
with the subject matter.
