get free family admission passes to area
museums on a first-come, first-served basis
through a partnership with the Museum
of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, the Holocaust
Museum, the James Museum of Western &
Wildlfe Art, Great Explorations Children’s
Museum, Henry B. Plant Museum, Imagine
Museum, Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art,
Dunedin History Museum, Tampa Bay
History Center and the Pinellas Public
Library Cooperative. Check with your
library’s circulation staff for further
details. Hillsborough County has a
similar program with different options
in place called Discovery Passes, which are
gradually returning after the coronavirus
pandemic put them temporarily on hold.

Bravura Brunch
The Florida Orchestra North
Suncoast Associates will host the 28th
annual Bravura Brunch on March 5th
at Innisbrook resort in Palm Harbor
to benefit the orchestra. The program
will include music by members of the
orchestra and the multitalented resident
conductor Daniel Black, who is also a
composer. There will be a gourmet lunch,
plus silent and live auctions. Proceeds
will benefit The Florida Orchestra’s
education and community engagement

Art in St. Petersburg is among the museums

County library cardholders.

Museum Passes at Pinellas Libraries
Miniature Art Society
Fine tiny art will be on display at the Dunedin
Fine Art Center and for the first time online as the
Miniature Art Society of Florida hosts its 47th annual
international exhibition. The juried exhibit from
January 16th through February 6th will include
paintings, fired porcelain, pastel and colored pencil
by some of the world’s finest miniature artists. An
opening awards brunch is set for January 16th. The
show’s pieces, which are just a few inches wide and a
few inches long, will be accompanied by magnifiers

Sarasota Opera’s Winter
Opera Festival
The Sarasota Opera’s Winter Opera Festival will include
Tosca, The Daughter of the Regiment, The Pearl Fishers and
Attila. Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca performances are set for
February 12th, 16th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 27th and March
11th and 19th at the opera house on Pineapple Avenue in
Sarasota. Gaetano Donizetti’s The Daughter of the Regiment
is planned for February 19th, 23rd, 26th and March 1st,
3rd, 6th and 18th. Georges Bizet’s The Pearl Fishers will
arrive on March 5th, 8th, 10th, 13th, 16th and 19th. Finally,
Giuseppe Verdi’s Attila will be on March 12th, 15th, 17th,
