BOAORKT S
KICKASS HUSBAND
By Aaron R. Fodiman
In his book, Kickass Husband, Matthew Hoffman
recalls 52 memories from his relationship with
Kimberly, his wife of 27 years. This book is about
how to make yourself and those you love happy.
It is filled with examples of what Matthew and Kim
have done over the years to gain mutual respect,
reinforce their friendship and enhance their mutual
love. At the conclusion of each chapter, Matthew has
co-author Chris Cambas, a licensed marriage and
family therapist, further explain what Matthew is
articulating in his tales of his life with Kim.
As you read each of the author’s relationship
examples, your reaction could be, “I can do that,
why don’t I?” None of his suggestions are difficult
to do, and they make immediate rational sense. He
explains in detail the feelings and emotions of the
recommended strategies.
As a loving partner in a longtime marriage,
I personally promised myself to follow each of
Matthew’s concepts in my own relationship. This is
a real achievement because I had assumed I was as
thoughtful as needed be to be a great husband, partner,
lover and friend to my wife, Margaret. However, as I
read each example given by Matthew, I immediately
began to think about how I would incorporate it into
my own marriage.
Whether you are still single and beginning to think
about a serious commitment, or you are part of an
old married couple that thinks nothing can change
your relationship at this point, reading this book
will change your life for the better, just by making
you think about what you could do for your partner.
Although the title might make you think it is only
for men, make no mistake. This is a book that needs
to be read by many, even if you are not in a marriage.
Kickass Husband will help you relate to others in your
life. 9
