Dunedin History Museum Expands
The Dunedin History Museum held a sneak peek reception of its renovated building on Main Street. The museum’s mission
is to share the city’s legacy and heritage and to preserve historical artifacts and documents to foster intergenerational learning.
The original 1924 Atlantic Coast Line Train Station has been expanded by over 600 square feet to meet the needs of the community
and standards of the American Alliance of Museums.
Museum supporter Melba Rilott and
former Dunedin History Museum President
Eric Houghton were excited to admire the
new expansion and improvements.
Dunedin Commissioners Moe Freaney
and Deborah Kynes work tirelessly to
make Dunedin the model for modern
living that it is today.
Patti Coleman, a former president of
the museum who helped create its
gift shop, and her husband Bill are two
of the city’s most involved citizens.
Blair Kooi, the museum’s interim president,
thanked Executive Director Vinnie Luisi
and artist Jerry Karlik for their work
on the renovation.
