You can learn about our area’s once
extensive orange orchards and their
economic importance at the museum.
Under the guidance of Executive
Director Vinnie Luisi, it prospered, grew
and served to interpret the past and
preserve the city’s historic roots.
With the support of the city, its elected
officials, citizens and visitors, the museum
recently added new space and renovated
its older portions to link the past with the
present while preserving the city’s history,
so that the youth of today can be enriched
by a variety of educational programs that
are designed to give them an appreciation
of the past and a love of history.
With its new welcome center, museum
store and renovated galleries, the Dunedin
History Museum will draw visitors and
residents into the interactive displays
and state-of-the-art exhibits that combine
to make this showcase of history both
relevant and inspiring. 9
