Meanwhile, at the previously existing Toy Story Mania, there
is a colorful new entrance and a new third track to make the
experience available to even more guests who compete with
each other, playing midway games using virtual objects from
baseballs to cream pies to hit targets in order to score points.
We also loved Sarge and the members of the Green Army Patrol
who roam Toy Story Land, playing games and entertaining you
in a number of ways from drumming to synchronized military
drills to an interactive boot camp.
At Woody’s Lunch Box, guests can enjoy tasty meals and ice
cream floats in what appears to be a lunch box, complete with a
giant thermos. The Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich and tomato
basil soup served there are not to be missed.
There are more changes planned as the Walt Disney World
theme park continues to expand in order to celebrate its upcoming
50th anniversary. The 14-acre Star Wars’ Galaxy’s Edge will open
next year in Hollywood Studios. In this new land, you will be
able to visit Black Spire Outpost, a remote trading port on the
edge of wild space, where Star Wars characters and their stories
will come to life with you in the middle of the action. You also
will be able to board the Millenium Falcon to pilot and steer the
starship while firing laser cannons through deep space. The
nearby Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy show will also
open next year based on the movie Cars.
Disney imagineers never stop looking for new ways to make
these resorts among the most magical places in the world. There
is always something new to see, eat or do at Walt Disney World
resorts in Orlando. 9
