Once trimmed, your block should look like this.
Place the base fabric right side up, covering the entirety of
the placement stitches on all four sides of the block.
Using scissors, trim away any excess base fabric on all four
sides of the block.
Continue to the next machine step, which will be the stippling
for the block. We recommend using a color that matches the
base fabric for this step, so it complements the design.
