ANATOMY OF THE DESIGN
WE MAKE IT EASY FOR YOU!
We created this tutorial to make your project as simple as
possible. Each of the blocks featured in this collecrtion will
have a main fabric laid as the surrounding “border,” while
a standard appliqué circle creates the center where the
embroidery will be featured. Each circle is surrounded
in satin stitches to give it a clean, secure finish while
emphasizing the darker fabric color. In order to complete
your quilt or wall hanging, you will need blocks to help
“square off” or straighten the quilt’s sides once the on-point
blocks are joined. The design files OPNC9 & OPNC10
will be digitized in just the right shape to position and turn
throughout your finished quilt, helping square it off.
Designs OPNC1-8 will feature a base
material laid first as the main “framing”
color, while a large, circular appliqué
makes space to highlight the various
embroidered elements in each circle.
Designs OPNC9 & OPNC10 will be
constructed similarly, but rather than
the completed block and circle shapes,
you’ll have a squared off edge to help
you create a stunning on-point quilt
with straight edges for binding!
