PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
A B
Using the bobbin stitches on the edges of MRB-FRONT as
your guide, sew just inside the bobbin stitch starting from
one end of the zipper and ending at the opposite end.
C D
You will need to leave an opening at least 31⁄2” wide for you
to turn the bag later. To do this, start stitching from the zipper,
pivot at the corner and back stitch at the edge of the open
gap. NOTE: Make sure to stitch with at least a 1⁄2” seam
allowance.
Repeat pictured steps B and C for the opposite side of the
lining. Once finished, your bag should look something like this.
E F
Use a pair of scissors to trim away the excess material, be
being sure to leave a 1⁄2” seam allowance. Use scissors to
clip a 45° angle at the corners to reduce any bulk.
NOTE: Do not cut the excess zipper material (circled)!
Once trimmed, your bag should look something like this.
Open the zipper and pin both linings together with their right
sides together. Then, pin MRB-FRONT to the back fabric with
their right sides together.
NOTE: Make sure your zipper has been opened!
