ss Tyler Reddick made his Cup Series debut on NASCAR’s biggest stage at the 2019
Daytona 500. His debut was ery — and not always for the right reasons —
but it cemented his potential.
When Tyler Reddick announced he was leaving JR Motorsports
for a new NASCAR xnity Series ride at Richard Childress
Racing, there were three races remaining in the 2018
NASCAR Playoffs.
And Reddick was still in contention to win it all.
Instead of being distracted by his changing allegiance,
the then 23-year-old driver from Corning, CA,
advanced to the Championship 4 and eventually won
the title with a victory at nale at the Homestead-
Miami Speedway.
“You know, maybe not everybody in the garage our team believed it, and that’s all we need,” Reddick the guys in the shop believed it.”
It’s his ability to push aside distractions and still that has many thinking he is a budding star.
In October, Richard Childress Racing announced the No. 8 Chevrolet for the 2020 season.
The pre-2019 swap from JR Motorsports to RCR Reddick’s 2019 xnity Series. He won his rst race at Talladega. His season was littered with top-10 nine wins and seven poles in his xnity career.
