OWNER:
Chastain’s racing career started later than some young
phenoms because he worked on his family’s watermelon
farm until he was 13. He knew by college age though
that racing was a passion as he left Florida Gulf Coast
University after just one semester. He became the ��rst
generation in his family to race competitively.
Chastain would go on to score over 50 short-track wins
including the 2011 World Series of Asphalt at New
Smyrna Speedway.

Chastain ran away from the ��eld along with Tyler Ty
Ankrum as the
two drivers battled all the way way over the ��nish nish line.l
“I thought I had a good enough truck to chase chase
him down, but I
couldn’t couldn’t get close enough to him to catch the
draft. I was just
��ghting ‘tight,’ and I burned my tires up trying trying
to catch him,”
Ankrum told NASCAR.com.
