The stitching where the draw string channel meets the seam
should look like this on both sides. The 1/4” seam stops 2 inches
from the top, then redirects to the outer edge.
To complete the French Seam, sew another 1/4 seam.
Next, sew the channel seams, which will be about 1/4” wide. This
will create a clean finished look for the channel.
Use an iron to press the seams to one side, then turn the lining.
To create the seams for the channels, double fold the edge as
shown.
To create the channel, we will use the same method used in step
19 and 20. On both sides, double fold the top so that you have a
1” seam on both sides. Use an iron to press both folds in place.
